Carrie Underwood Raih Artist of the Yea

Los Angeles: Penyanyi country dan penulis lagu Carrie Underwood dikabarkan telah mendominasi ajang penghargaan musik country American Country Awards (ACAs) 2010 yang digelar di Los Angeles, AS, dengan memborong 5 piala penghargaan termasuk Artist of The Year, seperti dilansir Washington Post, Rabu (8/12).

Sebelumnya, juara American Idol itu juga berhasil membawa piala dalam kategori yang sama pada ajang penghargaan Academy of Country Music Awards 2010 yang digelar pada April lalu. "Saya memiliki tahun yang luar biasa kali ini. Tetapi ini tak akan terjadi tanpa dukungan kalian semua. Saya mengucapkan banyak terima kasih untuk kalian," ucapnya saat pidato penerimaan pialanya.

Carrie berhasil membawa pulang piala dalam beberapa kategori lainnya, seperti Album of The Year untuk albumnya yang berjudul Play On, Single of the Year-Female untuk lagunya Cowboy Casanova, Touring Headline Package of the Year, dan Music Video of the Year-Female. Ajang bergengsi tahunan ini diselenggarakan di gedung MGM Grand, Los Angeles, dan dipandu oleh Trace Adkins.

Selain Carrie, band country Lady Antebellum berhasil memborong 4 piala penghargaan, dan Easton Corbin membawa pulang 3 piala, termasuk kategori Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Sementara itu, Brad Paisley terpilih sebagai Male Artist of the Year dan Blake Shelton & Trace Adkins terpilih dalam kategori Music of The Year. (contactmusic/Vin)
